You can then walk in and mop up the survivors after one side finishes the other off. Creep close enough to the camp, and the Forsworn will start shooting arrows at the dragon, which will obligingly begin chewing up the Forsworn for you.

I think a hunting mod or two added that as well and I loved it. There is a crap ton of food in this game and mods that give it meaning, or allow you to create things from other foods in game were awesome. That’s when the self-restriction usually fell for me.įood mods I actually like when they add effects. So going to one, getting a ton of loot or things you want to save, then what? Limp home? Multiple WALKED trips back and forth? Nope. While late game stuff frequently had you trek a long way outside that. Generally newbie style locations were close to towns. I will say this though, the longer you go through a playthrough that way the more annoying it became. The only “fast” kind of travel I allowed myself was the rented cart between major cities. I’ve done it on two half playthroughs for sure. That’s really something the player can do outside a survival mod though. Which to choose? You only have 6 hours left of the day -where to go? What kind of food to eat? What kind of clothes to wear? All those decisions adds to the game, in some way.Īnyways -its a fine balance, and while I don’t know the specifik survival mode you are talking about, previous survival mods had a lot of options you could change, making it fit the gameplay experience you are interested in.

I guess it all depends on what you find to be interesting choices - So, you can only take 5 things with you. Walking and running are of no consequence when you can fast-travel everywhere.īUT, when you DO have to run everywhere, the world suddenly feels larger and more interesting. That doesn’t really do anything for immersion. When you play regular Skyrim, and fast travel everywhere, it sometimes feel like you have a box with 600 openings. The sleeping part is of no interest to me - but the enviromental is! Being in a snowstorm at night on a mountain SHOULD be a cold experience, that should affect you somehow. Mainly, for instance, mountain travelling is lot more interesting when you have to account for nighttime, coldness and winterstorms as well. I like the planning you sometimes have to do.

There are non-resetting locations though, according to this list: You should long have a player home by that point. I’m going to assume that’s late game with the dragon attacks or faction war after-effects. Sadly I rarely go back to them but occasionally when you need extra cash or materials for crafting, it’s nice to be able to go to the cites and dig in the barrel for something you need.Īccording to the game, cities can reset at points. Generally I find a lootable, non-owned barrel in each town and throw things there. Just remember the golden rule, never leave things in a dungeon or place that undergoes major resets/story changes. Using the spell allows you to select things that are immediately gone from your inventory but processed under the museum in the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. The second that you can enable is a bit cheaty but similar to the above loot boxes but it’s a spell. That let’s you haul less far with loot at least.

The first is loot drop boxes in all the major cities. It adds some customizable tweaks to help with inventory. A few of you guys might be playing with the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod.
